
SALISBURY, N.C. — A Salisbury man was killed Sunday afternoon in a crash involving a motorcycle and another vehicle on Statesville Boulevard, according to emergency dispatch traffic and reports from the scene.
Dwayne Muhamed Mutevelic, 35, died as a result of the crash.
First responders were dispatched around 5 p.m. Sunday to the 2100 block of Statesville Boulevard for a reported collision involving a motorcycle and a vehicle. Initial emergency radio traffic indicated the motorcycle rider was unresponsive.
Fire, EMS and law enforcement personnel responded to the scene and confirmed the rider died from injuries sustained in the crash.
The crash temporarily shut down portions of Statesville Boulevard while authorities investigated the scene.
Since news of Mutevelic’s death spread, friends and family members have taken to social media to share tributes, memories and condolences.
