RANDOLPH COUNTY, N.C. — The Randolph County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help locating a missing and endangered woman who was last seen Thursday in Randolph County.
According to the sheriff’s office, 53-year-old Lawanda Kay Arwood-Crocks was reported missing on July 2, 2026. Investigators said she was last seen the same day near H&M Grocery on U.S. Highway 311.
Arwood-Crocks is described as a white female with brown hair, standing about 5 feet tall and weighing approximately 135 pounds. She was last seen wearing a black T-shirt, gray and black shorts, and black Nike tennis shoes.
Authorities believe she is traveling with a white male in a rented black 2025 Chevrolet Trailblazer displaying West Virginia license plate 442811A.
Investigators said Arwood-Crocks is originally from Tennessee and may be traveling between Tennessee and North Carolina.
The sheriff’s office said Arwood-Crocks may have cognitive impairments and may be in danger.
