SALISBURY, N.C. – A Rowan County man recently charged with multiple felony child sex offenses was previously convicted of contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile, according to Rowan County court records.

Christian Daniel Kincaid, 21, of Salisbury, pleaded guilty on July 19, 2023, to one count of contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile, a Class 1 misdemeanor under North Carolina law. The charge stemmed from an offense that occurred March 27, 2023.

District Court Judge Cynthia G. Dry accepted Kincaid’s guilty plea and entered a guilty verdict. Court records show he received a 30-day jail sentence and was credited with 30 days already served, satisfying the sentence.

The conviction comes to light as Kincaid faces nine felony charges filed by the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office in a separate case.

According to warrants filed in Rowan County District Court, Kincaid is charged with:

  • Three counts of statutory rape of a child age 15 or younger.
  • Three counts of indecent liberties with a child.
  • Three counts of statutory sexual offense with a child age 15 or younger.

Investigators allege the offenses occurred between April 20 and April 25, 2026, and involved a 15-year-old victim.

The arrest warrants were issued June 1 after investigators presented evidence supporting probable cause. Kincaid was arrested Aug. 3 and remains in the Rowan County Detention Center.

The 2023 misdemeanor conviction and the 2026 felony charges are separate criminal cases.
