SALISBURY, N.C. — A stolen vehicle investigation led to an arrest Saturday after Rowan County deputies and China Grove police officers located a vehicle flagged by a Flock camera alert.
According to law enforcement, deputies and officers were notified after a Flock camera detected a stolen vehicle in the area. Authorities began searching for the vehicle and later located it at the Valero gas station on South Main Street near Webb Road in Salisbury.
Law enforcement detained six individuals at the scene while conducting their investigation. The driver was subsequently taken into custody.
The driver was identified as Shawn Christian Snead, 31, of Salisbury.
Snead was initially charged with driving while license revoked due to an impaired revocation, operating a motor vehicle without registration, no liability insurance, and possessing a fictitious or altered title, registration card or tag.
Law enforcement said those charges are preliminary and additional charges related to the stolen vehicle investigation are pending.
The investigation remains ongoing.
