WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Bowman Gray Stadium will host the inaugural Kyle Busch Invitational on Aug. 21, bringing together grassroots racers from across the region for a charitable event honoring the late NASCAR champion while raising money for the Samantha and Kyle Busch Bundle of Joy Fund.

The event, announced Thursday, will feature Legends Cars and Bandolero racing, celebrating the divisions where Busch began his racing career. Proceeds will benefit the Bundle of Joy Fund, a nonprofit founded by Kyle and Samantha Busch to help individuals and couples offset the cost of fertility treatments.

Racing will begin at 5 p.m. following practice and qualifying sessions from 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Gates will open at 2 p.m. The event will be streamed live on FloSports and the NASCAR Channel.

Organizers said the invitational will include up to 51 Legend Cars, representing Busch’s iconic No. 51, and up to 18 Bandolero Cars, representing his No. 18. The schedule includes five 10-lap Legend heat races, two 15-lap B-Main races and feature events for both Legend and Bandolero competitors.

Drivers invited to compete include the top five finishers in the 2026 Summer Shootout standings in the Pro, Semi-Pro, Masters and Young Lions divisions. Drivers who won an A-Main feature during the Summer Shootout season but finished outside the top five in points also received invitations.

Bowman Gray Stadium was selected for the event because of its longstanding connection to grassroots racing and Busch’s early career in Legend Cars.

The Samantha and Kyle Busch Bundle of Joy Fund was established in 2015 after the couple’s own experience with infertility. Since its founding, the organization has awarded more than $2.3 million in grants to help families pursue fertility treatments, funding more than 150 treatment cycles and contributing to the births of more than 100 children.

Kyle Busch died in May 2026 at age 41. During his career, he became one of the most successful drivers in NASCAR history, recording 63 NASCAR Cup Series victories and 234 wins across NASCAR’s three national touring series.

Organizers said the invitational is intended to celebrate Busch’s legacy both on and off the track while supporting families through the charitable mission he and his wife established.
