KANNAPOLIS, N.C. — A Rowan County man faces felony and misdemeanor charges after deputies said he damaged a vehicle near the Food Lion on North Cannon Boulevard before allegedly ordering his dog to attack another man, causing serious injuries.
According to warrants filed by the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office, 40-year-old Jarrod Eugene Freeman of China Grove was charged with felony assault inflicting serious bodily injury and misdemeanor injury to personal property.
The warrants state the incident happened May 15.
Investigators allege Freeman damaged a red Chevy Cobalt by throwing bricks at the vehicle, causing dents to the rear trunk area.
Authorities further allege Freeman later ordered his dog to attack another man. The warrant states the attack resulted in the victim losing the tip of his left ring finger.
