GUILFORD COUNTY, N.C. — A multi-county narcotics investigation led to the seizure of large amounts of cocaine and liquid methamphetamine and the arrest of a 35-year-old man, according to the Guilford County Sheriff’s Office.

Sheriff Danny H. Rogers said the Guilford County Narcotics Task Force, working alongside the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office, concluded the investigation on April 29 with the execution of multiple search warrants across Guilford and Randolph counties.

Authorities said investigators seized approximately 4 kilograms of cocaine, 17.5 kilograms of liquid methamphetamine, and $22,000 in cash during the operation.

Jose Antonio Gonzalez-Rodriguez, 35, was arrested and charged with trafficking methamphetamine, trafficking cocaine, maintaining a dwelling for the purpose of keeping or selling a controlled substance, simple possession of a Schedule VI controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Gonzalez-Rodriguez is being held at the Guilford County Detention Center in Greensboro under a $1,300,500 secured bond. His next court appearance is scheduled for July 2, 2026, at 9 a.m.

The Guilford County Narcotics Task Force is made up of members from the Guilford County Sheriff’s Office, Greensboro Police Department, North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation, and the Drug Enforcement Administration.
