
NASCAR has indefinitely suspended 35-year-old Evanna Howell following an incident at Charlotte Motor Speedway during race weekend.
According to Cabarrus County court records, Howell was arrested May 23 after allegedly using a golf cart to strike a 77-year-old man, causing serious injuries. The victim reportedly suffered a severe laceration.
Howell faces a charge of assault with a deadly weapon causing serious injury. She was released from the Cabarrus County Detention Center on a $125,000 bond.
Howell is listed as a senior account manager for 23XI Racing, co-owned by Michael Jordan and Denny Hamlin.
