RANDOLPH COUNTY, N.C. — The Randolph County Sheriff’s Office is accepting applications for its next Sheriff’s Citizens Academy, offering residents an inside look at law enforcement operations through a 10-week educational program.
The academy begins Tuesday, Aug. 11, at 6 p.m. and will meet weekly on Tuesdays from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Opening sessions will be held at the Randolph County Emergency Services Headquarters, located at 760 New Century Drive in Asheboro.
The program gives participants a hands-on opportunity to learn about the daily responsibilities of sheriff’s deputies, explore various aspects of law enforcement operations, and strengthen relationships between the Sheriff’s Office and the community.
Applications are available online, by downloading a PDF application, or by picking one up at the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office. Completed applications can be returned to the Sheriff’s Office front desk, mailed, or emailed to rcsocommunityoutreach@randolphcountync.gov.
The application deadline is July 31, 2026. Class size is limited, and interested residents are encouraged to apply early.
