ROWAN COUNTY, N.C. — The Rowan County Sheriff’s Office has announced a second arrest in an ongoing fentanyl trafficking investigation that has resulted in multiple high-level charges and significant bond amounts.
Sheriff Travis Allen said the investigation began with the arrest of Jaiden Alexander White, 19, on April 1, following a month-long operation. Authorities said White sold suspected fentanyl to an undercover detective on two occasions, totaling about 74 grams with an estimated street value exceeding $3,000.
White faces multiple trafficking-related charges and was issued a $1.75 million secured bond.
As the investigation continued, detectives identified Timothy Wayne Morrow, 20, as a primary suspect connected to the trafficking operation.
Morrow was taken into custody on April 9 and charged with five counts of trafficking fentanyl, two counts of conspiracy to traffic fentanyl, and one count of maintaining a vehicle for controlled substances. He was issued a $2 million secured bond and placed in the Rowan County Detention Center.
Authorities said the investigation remains active, and additional arrests or charges are possible.
The sheriff’s office stated it will continue targeting individuals involved in the distribution of illegal narcotics and pursue enforcement actions across the county.
