Winston-Salem: Police are investigating an accidental shooting involving two children that occurred Friday morning in the 100 block of Dunbarton Court.

According to investigators, the children were alone inside the home when they found a firearm. One child was accidentally shot and transported to Brenner Children’s Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and was reported in stable condition.

Police said the shooting appears to have been accidental, and the investigation remains ongoing.
