
ASHEBORO, N.C. — The Randolph County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a man who fled from authorities during a routine compliance check and remains at large.
According to the sheriff’s office, Reggie “Dexter” Jessup, 35, is wanted in connection with violations discovered during a compliance check conducted by the Electronic House Arrest Division on May 29.
Authorities said Jessup fled on foot into a wooded area near Brush Creek Road in Bennett during the encounter. Despite search efforts, he was not located and remains wanted.
The sheriff’s office has released a wanted notice and is asking the public for assistance in locating him. Officials warned residents not to approach Jessup if he is seen.
Jessup is described as approximately 5 feet 5 inches tall, weighing about 150 pounds, with hazel eyes and brown hair.
Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call 911 or contact the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office at (336) 318-6698. Anonymous tips can also be submitted through Randolph County Crime Stoppers at (336) 672-7463, where tipsters may be eligible for a reward.
Authorities said the investigation remains ongoing.
