The Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office announced Wednesday that its investigation has determined a reported sexual assault at Tanglewood Park did not occur.
The investigation began after deputies responded on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, to a report of an alleged sexual assault at the park. Following an extensive investigation and confirmation from the alleged victim, investigators concluded that no sexual assault took place at Tanglewood Park on the reported date.
The sheriff’s office said the investigation remains active and that additional information will be released when appropriate.
The case drew significant public attention after the initial report prompted safety concerns and a widespread search for information related to the alleged incident.
