SALISBURY, N.C. — A Salisbury man was killed Sunday afternoon in a crash involving a motorcycle and another vehicle on Statesville Boulevard, according to emergency dispatch traffic and reports from the scene. Dwayne Muhamed Mutevelic, 35, died as a result of the crash. First responders were dispatched around 5 p.m. Sunday to the 2100 block of Statesville Boulevard for a reported collision involving a motorcycle and a vehicle. The Davie County Sheriff’s Office announced the arrest of a Winston-Salem woman following an investigation into alleged financial exploitation involving an elderly victim. According to investigators, the case began on Feb. 27, 2026, after deputies received a report of suspicious activity on an elderly woman’s bank account. A family member told authorities she discovered numerous ATM withdrawals while reviewing her mother-in-law’s account and believed the victim’s caretaker was responsible. GUILFORD COUNTY, N.C. — A multi-county narcotics investigation led to the seizure of large amounts of cocaine and liquid methamphetamine and the arrest of a 35-year-old man, according to the Guilford County Sheriff’s Office. Sheriff Danny H. Rogers said the Guilford County Narcotics Task Force, working alongside the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office, concluded the investigation on April 29 with the execution of multiple search warrants across Guilford and Randolph counties. A suspect has been arrested in connection with the homicide of 16-year-old Jayden Livingston, whose death earlier this month shocked the Walkertown community and prompted an extensive investigation by the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office. Winston-Salem police have released new details in a mass shooting at a city park that left two juveniles dead and several others injured. According to the Winston-Salem Police Department, the shooting occurred Monday at Leinbach Park and stemmed from a planned fight between two juveniles.
