WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. , The Winston-Salem Police Department is investigating a shooting that left a 21-year-old man injured Thursday morning. Officers responded at approximately 11:37 a.m. on July 30 to a reported shooting at 2821 Bleeker Square. When they arrived, they found Shemone Devon Cody suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Cody was taken to a local hospital with injuries that police said were not life-threatening. Investigators have not released information about a suspect or what led to the shooting. MOORESVILLE, N.C. — Authorities have released new information in the shooting that occurred on Interstate 77 in Mooresville, saying the incident was not a road rage shooting as initially suspected. According to the Mooresville Police Department, investigators determined the gunfire originated from inside the victims’ vehicle, not from another vehicle traveling on the interstate. Police identified the suspect as 23-year-old J’Kobe Tre’shon Ramseur of Hickory, who was a passenger in the black Kia.
